The static analysis as well as the local deformations analysis (method of crack initiation) of the steering hinge, which was under a complex force system, was hold. The steering hinge of a motor car, which was a casting, was analyzed. The main detail elements are: fixing barrel in its top, spherical hinge with a flange and steering lever on the right. Wheel spindle passes through the big aperture in the center. When motor car is driving a twisting uneven surface, the loadings impose the detail in a complex way by the fixing barrel, lower spherical hinge, coupling bolt and wheel spindle.

In FE-computation the loadings are imposed by specific burdening elements for the purpose of performing loading impose on the detail as appropriate as possible. There was a bordering in the wheel center for the model and were made 12 types of loading.

The KONKORT company-based seminar on the research structure durability was completed. The company technicians took place in it as well as those of the leading universities of the city (Dnepropetrovsk National University, Dnepropetrovsk National University of Railway Transport, National Metallurgical Academy).

The seminar on MSC.Fatigue (PAT318) was hold on September 23-26  by the official representative of MSC.Software company, all members got international certificates of the company-developer. The necessity in organization and holding this seminar was stipulated by the rising industry demands of structure analysis not only for the static, but also for the cyclical loading. Such types of loading appear for example in gear transmissions, when rotating shafting, in cantilevers.

The wheel calculation work package with 25 transverse profile sorts (including more than 300 calculations) using the American (AAR) and the European (UIC) methods was completed.

Also the comparison of the received results with the wheel calculation results according to ÃÎÑÒ 9036-88 was made and the main tendencies of the wheel profile shaping that particularly satisfies the service conditions was estimated.
